Photo of the month - December 2010

• Due to work pressure, christmas and a rather nasty cold / flu thing which has kept me in the house for a week, I've realised I've hardly taken any photos during December - possibly my skinniest photography month for thirty-six months.


• Not much to choose from then, in terms of possible photo of the month, but I'll choose the photo above - a close up of my father in law setting light to the christmas pud with brandy.

Photo of the month (October and November)

• What with all thats being going on, I've forgotten to upload my photos of the month for October and November - so here they are!



• The October "POM" is a strange shot (of Malu, our Tom cat) I think -and I don't know why I like it so much - but I always have!



• The November "POM" is a shot which reminds me of a wonderful dawn I had on "The Ridgeway" in the middle of November - a trip I might repeat this morning maybe...



• Just one more "POM" for the year - I'll try and remember to make my choice in the first week of January, but for now, click here to see the eleven "POMs" so far this year.

• I didn't seem to take many photographs last month, but my photo of the month is one of my shots of the Harvest Moon, with Jupiter in the same shot.

Had to be one of the wild loggerhead turtles that Anna and I found quite delightful to watch in the Argostoli bay, off Kefalonia in early August.
I took many photos of them, but this was my favourite.

Photo of month (June 2010)

June was one of my busiest months ever for photography, but I reckon the photo below was the best I took in that month. The choice may surprise some - I did not choose my photo of the elephant hawk moth sitting on my wrist that the beeb showed on this year's springwatch but a spectacular sunset instead - witnessed on one of our (Anna and myself) badger watching trips in June.
